I’ve honestly never even heard of protein supplements.
Just eat beans, quinoa, tofu (if you like it – I don’t), nuts and seeds, edamame (one of my favorites!).
I found this:
Here are some examples of vegetarian foods with high sources of plant protein:
PROTEIN IN LEGUMES: Garbanzo beans, Kidney beans, Lentils, Lima beans, Navy beans, Soybeans, Split peas
PROTEIN IN GRAINS: Barley, Brown rice, Buckwheat, Millet, Oatmeal, Rye, Wheat germ, Wheat, hard red, Wild rice
VEGETABLE PROTEIN: Artichokes, Beets, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Green peas, Green pepper, Kale, Lettuce, Mushrooms, Mustard green, Onions, Potatoes, Spinach, Tomatoes, Turnip greens, Watercress, Yams, Zucchini
PROTEIN IN FRUITS: Apple, Banana, Cantaloupe, Grape, Grapefruit, Honeydew melon, Orange, Papaya, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Strawberry, Tangerine, Watermelon
PROTEIN IN NUTS AND SEEDS: Almonds, Cashews, Filberts, Hemp Seeds, Peanuts, Pumpkin seeds, Sesame seeds, Sunflower seeds, Walnuts (black)
I found that on happycow.net which is a vegetarian/vegan website.
You’ll do fine just getting your protein from plant based foods. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Good luck!
Protien is found in most foods. Amino acids are proteins. If you eat garbonzo beans then you are getting protein from that, however, if you are a vegitarion who doesn’t eat an entirely well rounded diet the vitamins may also be a good idea. Talk to your doctor because alot may depend on your blood type.
It’s best to get protein from food. Nuts, beans, and eggs (if you’re not vegan) are the best forms of protein. Also, soy protein powder is a great ingredient to add to fruit smoothies.
don’t take vitamins! people who do eat meat actually get over twice the amount of needed protein… just live your life and eat regularly and you’ll get the perfect amount
Don’t take supplements you can get enough protein from foods if you eat a varied diet.
eg. grean leafy vegetables, beans, lentils, soy
Protein doesn’t come from vitamins. Take protein supplements if you think you need it. I recommend taking multivitamins just to make sure you get them.
theres no such thing as protein vitamins.
You can get protein from beans.
You don’t need to take a protein supplement. Just eat good food. Search for “plant sources of protein” on Google.
food. raw protein from nuts is the best since cooking damages protein
