I have been a vegetarian for 10 years. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into when I first made the choice. Now after 10 years I have become very interested in the subject. I eat very healthy. I fine that eating things such as a cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread, a daily glass of milk white or with chocolate, and a rice and bean dinner once a week really does the job. Of course we have the crabs to worry about, but a little daily work out and watching your food proportions will help with that.

There are special multivitamins for vegetarians that you can buy. As far as getting sufficient protein goes you must make sure that you get complete proteins. Protein powder is good for this. Eggs are a complete protein and quinoa is the only non animal product that is a complete protein. Beans, cheese, and grains are incomplete proteins and you should combine at least three of them to get a complete protein. Peanut butter is a great source of protein but it is incomplete, eat it with bread or another grain.
