How Long Does It Take For Vitamins/supplements To Take Effect?
ByI am anemic (due to being a vegetarian) and have been suffering from severe fatigue for the past month or so. I started to take a multi-vitamin and extra calcium and iron supplements in hopes that they would improve my health and energy level.
I was just wondering how long it takes for supplements to start working through your system so I know if vitamin deficiencies are something that I should keep looking into.
Thanks.

Simply:
2-4 weeks
Everybody is different though. Your body will react in a different way.

I usually takes at least two weeks to start to help.
work through system 24hrs
For most supplements it takes about 1-4 weeks, depending on your body. I suggest taking multivitamins..you can find them in natural forms like spirulina. General purpose supplements need some time before you see results…Hydroxicut is a totally different kind of supplement. It is used for losing weight and getting a ripped body and it is thought to be unhealthy and probably damaging to the liver.
Get the multivitamins. (I use Centrum or centurium or whatever) Give it a month. Don't forget to take them. If you feel less cold, less tired, and less dazed, keep taking them.
And eat your broccoli. (Steam it, om nom nom nom)
Vitamins can take a few weeks before you start to feel any different.. However, everybody is different I encourage every one who doesn't eat a well balanced diet to take supplements as we need the valuable nutrients that they provide. Always talk to a heath professional before you start any new supplement. As the saying goes too much of a good thing may be bad for you. And instead of feeling better you in fact feel worse so this is why its important to talk to health care advisers.
