Is this safe?
What is the difference between Vitamin A RAE and Vitamin A IU?
ps. I take supplements for B12, iron, calcium, and vitamin D.

Excessive Vitamin C is okay, it will just come out of your body as the yellow color of urine. It is a water-soluble Vitamin. Vitamin A, however, is poisonous in excessive amounts. It is fat-soluble and accumulates in the body when in excess and does not come out that easily. It is also toxic in excessive amounts. In fact, Eskimo diet of liver will kill non-Eskimos due to the high vitamin A content. Eskimos have somehow adapted to this diet and can tolerate the high Vitamin A concentration. But for us, unless you’re an Eskimo, it is toxic and can cause eye problems.

Official RDA’s are set ridiculously low. You’re certainly not going to overdose from food alone, unless you eat liver every day! I’ve been taking what would be considered megadose supplements of many nutrients for over 30 years and enjoy amazing health and energy.
