    Go on a fast a few days……………

Your body has gone in starvation mode. It is trying to grasp whatever calorie/fat it can get.
You have slowed down your metabolism meaning that it is not efficiently burning the calories you are consuming.
To higher your metabolism, eating every 3-4 hours [to re-fuel your body and boost your energy] will definitly help, as well as exercising for 30 minutes at least every other day.
You should also reconsider the way you eat. I am sure that your being Vegan is very important to you but your body NEEDS nutrition, and, in the end, you should weight out what is more important to you, your health, or being vegan.
If you really can’t ‘stop’ being vegan, you should try vitamins and minerals or talking to a nutritionist to see what they suggest you take. You will need SOMETHING to provide you with the nutrition you are lacking in from not eating a variety of different food groups.
Hope that helped and good luck!

When you eat too few calories, your body actually lowers your metabolism in response. It goes into ‘starvation mode.’ So it needs less calories to survive, hence more calories get stored as fat. You need to eat MORE, not less. Six small meals/snacks per day. Look online for a base metabolic rate calculator to give you what you should be eating in calories. From there, subtract a few hundred and use that number as your daily goal.
Also focus on more exercise as much as your food intake.

Your metabolism has stalled because you do not eat…your body is most likely in starvation mode and everything that you eat will just stay with you. I would say that you should stop weighing yourself for a few weeks, get yourself on a 1200 calorie plan of well rounded foods, protein, fat, etc…
Get your metabolism kick started….then maintain the 1200 calorie a day and add in exercise to boost your metabolism again.
It should be about getting healthy.

  5. THAT’S why you’re not losing weight. You’re not consuming enough calories! I’m a Vegan too. I went on a 1000 calorie diet for a while, and lost NO weight! But as soon as I started eating 1500 calories, I started LOSING weight.
Also, since you’re a vegan, make sure you’re getting your soy protein. And by the way, whey is considered a meat. So when you get soy burgers, make sure the ingredients don’t say “whey.”

your not eating enough and getting enough nutrients in your body such as protein and fat. Your getting a lot of carbs from the fruit and veg. but you also need protein and fat because its used for long term energy because carbs burn up fast. Your body is now in starvation mode and holding on to all its weight to “survive” because its not getting the nutrients your body craves

Listen to the other answers, you are starving your body. Once you begin to eat a higher calorie diet, try working out. And I don’t mean go for a 15 minute walk every day, go out and jog until you are ready to fall over. Some bodies do not lose weight easily, so they need to be pushed further. In my mind, excercise is the key.

  8. LuluM says:

You seem to have a pretty balanced diet… my only advice is to exercise more (maybe find a particular sport you could really get into rather than going to the boring gym, maybe get a friend to join with you? Outdoor sports are much more rewarding…) and don’t nibble in between meals!
This isn’t an extreme method, but it’s something you could keep up for the rest of your life, which is much healthier than *yo yo dieting* which consists of fasting/dieting hard, and then gaining the wait again…it’s more consistent to be balanced.

  9. Stephani says:

Listen to me!!! WHAT YOU NEEED IS TO EAT SOME DIFFERENT FOOD. ALTHOUGH YOU ARE A Vegan YOU STILL CAN CHOOSE SOME OTHER VEGAN FOOD. AND YOU NEED MORE THAN 1000 CALS A DAY DEFINETLY. BECAUSE IF YOU EAT LESS YOUR BODY WILL STOP BURNING CALORIS BECAUSE IT HAS NOTHING TO BURN. SO EAT A LITTLE BIT MORE, EXERCISE AND THAT’S IT. GOOD LUCK =[

Replace your soft drinks with water..i lost 15 lbs and kept it off doing that. I’d drink coffee in the morning and take a couple of bottles of water with me every time I left the house.
