Put simply, natural skin care is caring for your skin in a natural and chemical-free way. Natural skin care advocates enabling the skin to take care of itself (without any assistance from synthetic materials/ chemicals). Natural skin care is about inculcation of good habits in the way you lead your day to day life. A lot of natural skin care measures are actually the same as those for body care in general. Natural care ensures that the skin is free from both wrinkles and other blemishes of the skin.

Drinking a lot of water is the basic stepping stone towards attaining an internal harmony of the body. Drinking water can easily revitalize your skin. Around eight glasses of water daily would mean that you are flushing out the impurities and revitalizing the skin pores.

General cleanliness though may seem to be a boring concept but let me tell you it is much more than just hyped word. A daily shower, wearing washed cloths and sleeping on a clean mattress/ pillow sets up the mood of a person and it has an impact on the skin of the person as well.

Exercise is the most essential element in the daily regime, it increases the flow of blood that helps in getting rid of body toxins and keeping you healthy. Exercise also helps in beating stress which is the worst enemy of good health and skin.

Healthy diet is also a pre requisite of a very good skin texture. A balanced diet chart is the most important prerequisite to stay fit. Eating habits also have its impact on the skin chewing the food properly and avoiding oily stuff is the basic prerequisite of healthy skin.

A very obvious measure to avoid wrinkles and dark circles is to have a very good sleep. A good sleep is also instrumental in maintaining good health and in beating stress.

Stress always triggers huge hormonal upheaval and a frequent mood swings which can have its toil on the skin texture. Stress also has an effect on collagen distribution thus making you look old at a young age. Doing meditation and yoga can always be a great help in managing stress.

Avoiding excessive exposure to sun (by wearing long sleeved clothes, hat and umbrella etc), is another natural skin care strategy. Sunscreen lotions are also recommended as necessary.

A lot of traditional and home made natural skin care products/ measures are also known to be very effective. Such measures are not only natural and easy-to-follow, but also relatively inexpensive.
