Lessen the Dangers of Getting Sun Burnt
ByThey say that if you want to get a tan fast, you should just go and lie under the sun for a certain amount of time. But going under the sun without any protection is great risk factor. You are going to get your self a wrinkle, sun burn if there is no proper protection.
If you want to get a tan, there is really no such thing as a totally risk-free tanning. Even if you apply sunscreen or sun protection lotions there is still risks involve. But there is a lot of way to decrease these risks to get a tan.
First, you must consider the type of skin you have. We all have different kinds of skin, people who have fair skin can have their skin burnt easily instead of just getting a tan. Also consider where you are vacationing, the higher the altitude of the place the stronger the UV radiation and this a big risk factor.
Do not just buy sunscreen lotions or tanning lotions that says “with SPF”. You need to know what exactly is in that product. Better yet ask your dermatologist about the right product that can go very well with your skin’s sensitivity and that will protect you from sun burn.
Knowing the right time to sun bathe and get a tan is also important. Sun bathing after 9 AM is dangerous because UV radiation is stronger at that time. That is why they recommend babies to stay under the sun before 9 AM because it helps with the immune system of the baby. This fact is also applicable to adults, actually sun bathing between 10 AM and 4 PM is not recommended.
Swimming is the first thing on everyone’s mind during the summer. Some might think that they do not need to apply sunscreen because they will be in the water most of the time. But this is not true, UV radiation reaches up to 9 feet even if you are in the water. The worst part is that you are getting sun burnt without even knowing it.
Every 20 minutes apply your sunscreen lotion. Even if you are using a tanning lotion you should still use a sunscreen because tanning lotions does little when it comes to protecting the skin.
