Lean meat is a great source of protein and Vitamin B which helps keep your metabolism burning hot. Skinless, boneless chicken and turkey are two great sources of lean meat. Also beef cuts that have the words “loin” or “round” in the name and pork products with “loin” or “leg” in the name. Cook by broiling, grilling, roasting, and baking.

5. Egg; It really is a wonder food. One egg has the same protein as a serving of beef but it comes with so many more nutrients like: vitamin A, vitamin D, Vitamin E, riboflavin, folic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin B 12, iron, calcium, phosphorous, potassium. 6. Fruits; I don’t know about you, but I have a terrible sweet tooth. It’s tough when I’m trying to lose weight. But if I have a piece of fruit it helps a lot. There is also a huge nutritional benefit from eating fruit. Fruits are generally high in fiber and vitamin C. Stay away from fruit juices because they are loaded with sugar. If you aren’t that big into eating fruit make a smoothie. A friend of mine lost 35 lbs by eating fruit smoothies twice a day. Just use low fat or fat free milk, yogurt and your favorite fruit, you can even mix a couple different fruits. Tastes great, fills you up, provides a lot of nutrition and helps you lose weight. What could be better?

7. Olive Oil; Olive Oil is used for primarily for cooking while extra virgin Olive Oil is used more for salad dressings and cold food. Olive oil has a high amount of monounsaturated fat which is proven to help lower your risk of heart disease. Olive oil has been shown to also have anti-inflammatory properties and also help with high blood pressure.

8. Vinegar; Vinegar comes from the fermentation of ethanol. The main ingredient of vinegar is acetic acid. Some types of vinegar: malt, wine, apple, rice and coconut. There have been several studies that having shown having vinegar with a meal can help you feel fuller sooner, so you eat less. You can use vinegar instead of mayo, oil or butter in recipes.

9. Ginger Ale; This carbonated soft drink, with the flavor of ginger, is full of lactose and probiotics like you would get in yogurt which can help keep you regular. Many swear that it can help relieve motion sickness, upset stomachs, and soothe sore throats.

10. Sprouted grain breads; Sprouted grain bread involves soaking the grain and allowing it to sprout. This allows the enzymes in the grain to convert some of the carbohydrates and fats to vitamins, minerals, and amino acids; which is why sprouted grain bread typically is higher in protein, fiber, and certain vitamins and minerals than regular bread. It is also less refined and processed than even stone ground wheat bread, so it has less of an impact on your blood sugar.
