What Vitamins Should I Take As a Vegetarian?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m deciding to become a vegetarian this year, and I need to know what vitamins I should be taking to replace the meats. Now that I think of it, I need info on any type of vitamins that I should be taking daily. I’m really clueless when it comes to things like that. I plan on taking a nutrition class in the fall semester, but I need some info until then. What do you recommend?
Just take a multivitamin and you’ll be fine. B12 is only found in animal products so as long as you eat some dairy or eggs you should get that. But go to a health food store to get your vitamins. A lot of them have a low absorption rate and you want a good one.
I take Bio Essence Women’s nutritional formula that I got from my acupuncturist and I love it! I actually feel a difference when I take it and when I don’t.
Good luck and make sure you get your protein from things like beans, soy/tofu, egg and dairy (if you’re not going Vegan), etc.
